Parsley and Onion Bread

 

  • 1 oz butter
  • 6 oz whole meal self-raising flour
  • 1 level tspn salt
  • 2 tblspns chopped parsley
  • 2 tblspns chopped onion
  • ¾ cup milk

 

Rub the margarine into the flour and salt. Add the parsley and onion and mix to a soft dough with the milk. Spread evenly into a 10" x 3" bar tin, then turn upside down onto a greased oven slide. Bake in a hot oven (375degF) for 25 minutes.

 

Serve sliced and spread with butter with salads or use for sandwiches.
